How to install OpenVPN on Linux?

  • apt-get install openvpn openssl udev 
  • wget http://dtcsupport.gplhost.com/openvpn-setup.tar.gz 
  • tar -xvzf openvpn-setup.tar.gz 
  • cp openvpn-setup/* /etc/openvpn/
  • cd /etc/openvpn 
  • ./setup 
  • cp client.ovpn client-config/ 
  • mkdir -p /dev/net 
    • mknod /dev/net/tun c 10 200 
    • chmod 600 /dev/net/tun 
  • iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 10.8.0.0/24 -o venet0 -j MASQUERADE 
    • (if any error the solve by install iptables module) 
    • modprobe ipt_MASQUERADE
